EdX has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to create Global Freshman Academy (GFA), a disruptive initiative that will offer full university freshman level courses for credit on edX.org. “This a unique way to start your undergraduate education,” said Anant Agarwal, edX CEO.
The Global Freshman Academy is designed to allow incoming and returning freshmen as well as educators and lifelong learners to take courses and finish university in less time, while earning ASU credit in a cost-effective way.
Students find the available credit-bearing courses and enroll at edX.org/gfa. They get university credit and pay for it only if they successfully pass the courses. No transcript submission or application process is required in order to earn credit. See how it works in the video above.
